Tata Indicom Total Internet subscriber, can I upgrade to a Broadband
connection? What benefits will I get as an existing Total Internet
customer?
Yes. We have this all new feature that allows you to upgrade
your Tata Indicom Total internet account to Tata Indicom Broadband.
You would need to have sufficient balance (min Rs. 300) for that.
You would however, first need to get a broadband connection installed
in your premise.
This feature is currently available for only customers taking
up prepaid plans.
The key benefits are:
Your Total Internet account balance will get carried forward to
your Broadband account.
Your email id remains the same.
You can continue to enjoy the Total Internet features on the Broadband
account.
Please note that this facility is currently not available for Total Internet customers with eth.net ID's

What is
the minimum balance that I need in my Total Internet account
to move to a Tata Indicom Broadband account?
You need a minimum balance of Rs.300 in your Total Internet
account to move to a Tata Indicom Broadband account.

What plan
can I move to ?
You can move to any Tata Indicom Broadband plan. You will have
the validity of the Tata Indicom Broadband plan from the day
you move to a Broadband account. The rate per unit of the plan
that you choose will apply.
Each Broadband plan has a value per day associated with the
it. The value per day is used to arrive at the effective validity
of your migrated plan. The rate per unit will be as per the
plan chosen by you.

Will my
validity change post migration to Broadband?
Each Broadband plan has a value per day associated with it.
The value per day is used to arrive at the new validity of your
migrated plan. For example, if you have Rs.500 in your Total
Internet account and you are migrating to a plan with a value
per day of Rs. 25. Then your new validity will be 20 days. The
earlier validity is of not relevant post the migration.

What if
I want to revert to a Total Internet connection after I have
taken a Broadband connection?
The Tata Indicom Broadband account has inbuilt dial-up which
can be used as a backup or when you are traveling. But you cannot
go back to a Total Internet plan post the upgrade.

Can I use
my Total Internet account simultaneously?
YES. The Tata Indicom Broadband account has inbuilt dial-up
which can be used as a backup or when you are traveling from
your telephone line using your dial up modem. The rate per unit
will be as per the current broadband plan and not the earlier
Total Internet plan
- Will I get
all the features of Total Internet on Broadband too?
Yes.
If you are availing of additional mail box space or mail IDs
in your Total Internet account, this will get carried forward
to your Broadband account and the Charges will be as under:

Can I renew
the migrated account with an existing Total Internet renewal
pack?
No. Post the migration; you can renew the account only with
a Tata Indicom Broadband value pack.

will I be able to see all the earlier details of Dial up and
Net Telephony usage in the my account.
Yes. All the earlier details will be available. Please ensure
that you log on to the My Account section on www.tataindicombroadband..com
instead of www.internet.vsnl.com

retain my existing mails which have come to my existing ID and
are online ?
YES.
