Q1. What is Crakblok?
Ans.: Crakblok is a smart authentication system in which the User Name and Password are matched with the telephone number from which you dial into the roaming dial-up service, which is inbuilt with your Broadband account. This way, it presents a fool-proof system to safeguard your account, even if your User Name and Password is known to others.
Q2. How can I activate Crakblok?
Ans.: You can activate Crakblok by logging on to My Account/My Services/Crakblok. You need to click on activate and then follow the necessary steps to activate Crakblok.
Q3. What will happen once I subscribe to the service?
Ans.: Once you subscribe to the service, you will be able to access the dial-up facility inbuilt in your Tata Indicom Broadband account from the telephone numbers available in the TOP
Crakblok Telephone Access List only.
Q4. Which telephone number do I enter?
Ans.: You will need to enter the Telephone number from which you want to access the dial-up facility.
Q5. In which format should I enter the telephone numbers?
Ans.: The telephone number should be entered without the STD code. For example if you want to access Internet from Mumbai number 22233445 and Delhi number 8877665.
Q6. What do I do if I want to access my account from two different telephone numbers?
Ans.: You can enter up to a maximum of three telephone numbers, at any given point of time, from where you want to access the dial-up facility.
Q7. Will it affect my roaming service?
Ans.: You can also avail the roaming service as usual. You will need to add the telephone number from where you will be accessing the facility. Alternatively you can deactivate the Crakblok service for that period of time.
Q8. How can I deactivate Crakblok?
Ans.: You can deactivate Crakblok by logging on to My Account/My Services/Crakblok. You need to click ondeactivate and then follow the necessary steps to deactivate Crakblok.
Q9. Which telephone number should I dial?
Ans.: Once you have subscribed to Crakblok service, you can access dial-up Internet by dialing 172226 only. Internet access via any other dialup number will not be authenticated.
