Q1. How can I buy a Tata Indicom Broadband Renewal pack?
Ans.: You can buy the Tata Indicom Broadband renewal pack from any
of the following sources
- Your Local Cable Operator (Tata Indicom Channel Partner)
- By Placing an order at the Customer Service no. in your
city
- By ordering online
Q2. How can I renew my account if it is expired?
Ans.: - Click on Tata Indicom Broadband Manager
- User 'register@mail.vsnl.com' as Username and 'register'
as password to log on to the Internet.
- You will be able to access www.tataindicombroadband.com
by logging from this Username
- Click on renew on the page to either buy a pack online or
register an existing Broadband renewal pack.
- Your existing balance will be carried forward post renewal.
Q3. How do I renew my Broadband account online?
Ans.:
You can renew your broadband account online through 3 simple steps:
- Choose a Broadband Pack: Logon to www.tataindicombroadband.in, click on the renew tab, choose the online renewal option and choose the Broadband renewal pack you want to renew your broadband account with.
- Enter Credit Card/ Bank Account details and confirm payment: Once you have chosen a broadband renewal pack, choose the credit card/ net banking option, enter the required details and make the payment.
- Renew your Broadband Account: Once the payment has been accepted, your broadband account will get automatically renewed.
To ensure that your credit card online transaction is secure, we support the Verified by VISA and MasterCard SecureCode security service. And our payment gateway has been certified by VeriSign.
Q4. How can I register my card for Verified by VISA / MasterCard SecureCode?
Ans.:
Verified by VISA (VbV) and MasterCard SecureCode (MSC) are simple ways to make online credit card transactions more safe and secure. Both require the cardholder to register and create a password, which is used at time of an online transaction
The card holder can register for Verified by VISA / MasterCard SecureCode either at:
- The credit card issuing bank’s website, OR
- At a VbV / MSC enabled payment gateway, at time of completing a transaction

Q6. Can I use the Tata Indicom Broadband welcome kit for renewal as well?
Ans.: No, the welcome kit does not have any value for use. You need to buy the 'Broadband Renewal Kit' for renewal.
Q7. How will I come to know when I need to renew my account?
Ans.: We will send you renewal reminders on your vsnl.net email ID and the alternate email ID when your account is due for renewal. You can also check your account balance online.
Q8. What is Smart Renewal?
Ans.: Smart Renewal is a feature that allows you to renew in advance i.e. before the expiry of your current validity/ value, without losing out on your current validity. When you do a Smart Renewal, the new plan is not activated immediately. Instead it goes into a queue and will be activated only when the current plan expires (due to value or validity). Thus, even if you renew in advance, you do not lose out on any validity, as your renewal pack will only come in to effect once your current validity/ value finishes. You can have as many renewal packs in your Smart Renewal queue as you want to.
Q9. What are the benefits of Smart Renewal?
Ans.: Apart from the fact that you get full extension of your current validity, you will also enjoy uninterrupted internet connectivity, as you do not have to wait till the expiry of your current pack to renew again. You can have as many renewal packs in your Smart Renewal queue as you want to, hence offering you utmost convenience
Q10. If I want to activate my renewal plan immediately, how do I do it?
Ans.: All renewals on default will be on Smart Renewals. However if you need to activate your renewal pack immediately, you can do so. While renewing your account, pls click on the immediate renewal option. This will show you the 2 options that are currently seen: Option 1 - to top up your existing plan and continue with the existing rate per unit and validity. Option 2 - to immediately activate the new plan with the new validity!
Q11. I have a plan in queue, what will be the renewal options available to me?
Ans.:If you already have a plan in queue, you can do a Smart Renewal. This plan too will go and sit in your smart renewal queue. So, you will have 2 renewal plans in queue which will come into effect one after the other in the order in which they have been renewed.
Q12. Where can I see the renewal plan/plans that I have in my queue?
Ans.: Log into ‘My Account’ – My Tariff Plan – Renewal Queue. All the plans in your smart renewal queue will be displayed
Q13. If I want to purchase a content service which costs more than my current balance, but I have Smart Renewal plan in queue, will I need to renew again?
Ans.: If sufficient balance is not available in your current plan, our system will check the Smart Renewal plan in the queue and deduct the amount from it. The Smart Renewal plan will come into effect immediately with the validity assigned to it.
